Balance problem of pumping unit causes motor generating reversing power. The frequency converter is irreversible rectifier. The power generated by motor could only be consumed through resistor, or be sent back to the power grid through active inverter. Active inverter is expensive and less reliable, and pollutes the power grid seriously. Now the mainly method to consume the electricity is by resistor, but the defect is when the rotating speed more quick, wasted more electricity. If the resistor efficiency is too low, it might be burned and cause fault.
